مدير عام الهيئة العامة للكمارك يستقبل وفدًا من سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في العراق
استقبل الدكتور ثامر قاسم داود، مدير عام الهيئة العامة للكمارك، في مكتبه اليوم وفدًا رسميًا من سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في بغداد برئاسة السيدة ليزا كالاجيان، مسؤولة الاقتصاد الكلي في السفارة.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في المجالات الاقتصادية والكمركية، وتبادل وجهات النظر حول دعم مسارات الإصلاح الإداري والمالي وتطوير أنظمة العمل بما ينسجم مع المعايير الدولية.
وأكد الدكتور ثامر قاسم داود أن دولة رئيس الوزراء يولي اهتمامًا كبيرًا بتطوير النظام الكمركي ضمن خطط الإصلاح الاقتصادي الشامل، مشددًا على أن الهيئة تعمل وفق رؤية الحكومة لتسهيل حركة التجارة وجذب الاستثمارات وتعزيز الشفافية.
من جانبها، أعربت السيدة كالاجيان عن تقديرها للجهود الإصلاحية التي تبذلها الهيئة في تحديث النظام الكمركي ومكافحة التهريب، مؤكدةً استعداد السفارة لدعم مبادرات التعاون المستقبلية.

⭕️ Prof. Dr. Thamer Qasim Dawood, Director General of the General Commission of Customs, welcomed today an official delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad, headed by Ms. Lisa Kalajian, Macroeconomic Officer at the Embassy.
⭕️ During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in economic and customs fields, supporting administrative and financial reforms, and modernizing operational systems in line with international standards.
⭕️ Dr. Dawood highlighted that the Prime Minister attaches great importance to developing the customs system as part of Iraq’s comprehensive economic reform agenda. He emphasized that the Commission is working in line with the government’s vision to facilitate trade, attract investments, and enhance transparency.
⭕️ Ms. Kalajian expressed her appreciation for the reform efforts undertaken by the Commission to modernize customs operations and combat smuggling, reaffirming the Embassy’s readiness to support future collaborative initiatives.
