أعلنت مديرية الاستخبارات العسكرية، عشية الاثنين، عن القاء القبض على إرهابي وتضبط اكداس للأعتدة والعبوات الناسفة في الانبار وكربلاء ونينوى.
جاء ذلك بعمليات استباقية وبجهود مستمرة وكبيرة لقسم وشعبتي( استخبارات وأمن ) قيادة عمليات كربلاء و الفرق (الخامسة والسابعة والعاشرة والسادسة عشر) وبالتعاون مع استخبارات وقوة من ألوية تلك القيادات، حيث تم نصب كمين محكم في سيطرة الشهيد بسام ( 7 كيلو ) وأسفر عن القاء القبض على أحد الارهابيين المطلوبين للقضاء وفق احكام المادة ( 4 ارهاب ) وقد تم تسليمه إلى جهة الطلب اصوليا.
وكذلك قامت مفارز الاستخبارات العسكرية من ضبط اكداس للأعتدة والعبوات في مناطق مختلفة من المحافظات أعلاه، اذ بلغت ( 146 ) قنبرة ومقذوف وصاروخ مختلفة النوع والعيار و( 146 ) رمانة هجومية وعنقودية و ( 36 ) عبوة ناسفة مختلفة الشكل ومحلية الصنع و( 3 ) حاويات عتاد 12.5 وسلك تفجير 50 متر ،فيما تكفلت مفارز الجهد الهندسي من رفع المواد وتفجيرها موقعياً.

With preemptive operations and continuous and great efforts of the (intelligence and security) of the Karbala Operations Command and the divisions (5th, 7th, 10th and 16th) and a cooperation with the brigades of those commands, where an elaborate ambush was set up in the control of the martyr Bassam (7 kilos) and resulted in the arrest of One of the terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 terrorism), and he was duly handed over to the requesting authority.
The Military Intelligence detachments also seized stacks of ammunition and explosives in different areas of the above-mentioned provinces , amounting to (146) bombs, projectiles and missiles of various types and calibers, (146) offensive and cluster grenades, (36) improvised explosive devices of various shapes and homemade and (3) containers. 12.5 ordnance and a 50-meter detonation wire, while the engineering effort detachments took care of lifting the materials and detonating them on site.
