The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, received this morning, Wednesday, the Commander of the US Central Command, General Michael E. Kurilla, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed military cooperation and coordination between Iraq and the United States. Mr. Al-Sudani stressed the importance of continuing joint work, especially in advising and training the Iraqi forces that are fighting terrorism effectively and professionally.
His Excellency pointed out that the Iraqi forces are determined to continue strengthening stability and preserve the successes achieved in the war on terrorism.
The meeting was attended by the Commander of the international coalition forces in Iraq and Syria, General Matthew McFarlane, as well as the US Ambassador to Iraq, Ms. Alina Romansky.
